Advising

The Office of Student Services provides academic advising to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Education or post-baccalaureate coursework leading to teacher certification.

Initial Advising Session (IAS)
1st step in the process for:

Typically one and a half to two hours in length, these workshops will instruct each student about how their credits transfer to ASU (or apply to their new major for current students) and what additional requirements they must complete in order to successfully gain admission into the professional Initial Teacher Certification (ITC) program of their choice. To sign up for an IAS please call 480.965.5555. Individual appointments can be scheduled after attending one of these sessions.

Individual Advising Appointments for Current Students
Individualized advising appointments are recommended once every semester for current pre-professional and professional ITC students. Half hour appointments are typically scheduled. If you feel you will need more time due to special circumstances you may request an hour appointment.

Email advising is appropriate for quick questions which do not involve extensive research. If your questions require more time, please make an appointment. If you are out of town you can schedule a phone appointment.
